When we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the enactment of Law 10.639/03, the following work aims to highlight the expansion of the present, based on the culture of anti-racist struggle produced in the struggle for and by implementation of the mentioned legislation. We draw attention to the discussions about the relationship between History and the different possibilities of thinking about time, in addition to the importance of affectations for the reeducation of ethnic-racial relations based on the experience of teachers trained in the Professional Master’s Degree in History Teaching, in Rio de Janeiro. For that, we used the data produced in the research Black movement in the present Project carried out in 2018, in addition to oral history interviews of
the Anti-racist struggles in education: History curricula in plural social contexts Project carried out in 2022.
