The article starts with general considerations
around the History of women and
the gender approach in the history class,
in the context of my teaching practice. It
deals with the resignification of past experiences
on the one hand, and reflects on a
project that renders the teaching action
more complex, on the other. It does so by
describing and analyzing a sequence of activities
proposed to second year high
school students, aimed at the comparative
analysis of the chronicle of Ulrico Schmidl
and the letter of Isabel de Guevara during
the process of colonization of the Río de la
Plata. Secondly, it reflects on the possibilities
of incorporating, from said approach,
some notable aspects of the experiences of
Mencía Calderón and Sor Juana Inés de la
Cruz.
