This article presents an analysis of how seven history textbooks approach the construction of Brasília. The conceptual foundation is drawn from the theory of history, history education, and history from below. For both the tool and method of data analysis, we used Bardin’s (2011) content analysis, focusing on the thematic category of historical subjects. The documentary corpus consists of seven 9th-grade textbooks approved by the 2020 edition of the National Textbook and Teaching Material Program (PNLD). Among the findings revealed by the research are the silences surrounding the roles, experiences, and identities of the workers who built the capital.
