Abstract

he present article establishes a comparison between History’s first National Common Curricular Basis (BNCC) (2014) and its last version, published during Michel Temer’s administration (2018). It is part of our Doctorate thesis, where we proposed to analyze the History of Eurocentrism in textbooks and national curricula. The reading of BNCC’s different versions were made alongside the reading of well-academic-known professional historians’ opinions requested by the Ministry of Education. Therefore, what are the differences between the first version – before Michel Temer’s administration – and its explicitly Eurocentric version? This is the main question we are attempting to answer in this work.
