The article aims to identify practical applications
for the use of the game Connected
Stories – which deals with the
Portuguese maritime expansion in the
fifteenth century – for teaching 4th and
7th grade history. In order to achieve
this goal, the methodological path was
based on an exploratory research with
the use of bibliographic and documental
research, with a qualitative approach.
As a result of the research, we identified
that some elements of the game Connected
Stories were raised that can be
used for history teaching, based on the
guiding objects of the National Common
Curricular Base - BNCC. We conclude
then that the game in question
sought to represent the context of the
time (environmental, historical, political,
basic structures, fauna and flora,
among others) and thus, this can offer varied paths to be explored by the
teacher, according to their planning and
/ or lesson plan.
