The present article reports a set of experiences carried out over years of teaching practice, related to documental research in History, connecting it to teaching and to the use of digital techno-ogies through the production of Power-Points, remote classes and publication of articles in blogs on historical topics. Specifically, it details a recent experience regarding the use of digitized handwritten documentation from the nineteenth century, contained in the collection of the City Council of João Pessoa, carried out in the discipline of Introduction to Historical Studies at the University Federal da Paraíba, focusing on the criteria of its realization, the me-thods employed and the results obtained in the course of the activity.
